The Ship Inn – Sewerby

Our cosy local with log fires in the winter. Traditional pub with with a large beer garden. Serving a good selection of hearty pub meals including a delicious Sunday lunch. Pool table for entertainment and Charlie Green the resident parrot must get a mention. Dog friendly with a special menu for your furry friends – from a bag of biscuits to a curly Cumberland sausage!

The Ship Inn is well known for award winning cask ales, craft beers and the ‘Beer and Music Festivals’ held on the Easter and August Bank Holidays.

A short walk (15 minutes) from Park View Cottage, the Martonian is a family-owned pub serving a selection of refreshing beers, fine wines and delicious home-cooked food in comfortable, modern surroundings.

Little coffee shop serving fantastic homemade cakes and treats including hot breakfast sandwiches, freshly made salads and sandwiches. Also Belgium hot chocolate , milkshakes and ice cream – perfect for refreshments after a bracing walk around Flamborough Head.

Just down the road from the Ship Inn, The Old Forge offers stunning sea views and an outside seating area. Family owned and re-furbished in 2020 the team at the Forge are comitted to using fresh local ingredients. A varied menu in a relaxed atmosphere. Also a great spot for lunch or hot drink and cake. Dogs welcome outside only.

Little SicilyBridlington

Authentic Italian with a great reputation we’ve heard it’s well worth a visit. Sadly closed at the moment due to a fire but vowing to come back better than ever in April so we’re looking forward to paying a visit.

If you’re partial to Thai, we highly recommend trying Supattra. A short walk from the harbour, this restaurant serves authentic Thai cuisine and we really enjoyed our meal here

Claiming to be the longest established Indian in town, Saffron has an an extensive menu catering for many tastes with meat-based, vegan-friendly, Saffron prepares all it’s food from fresh local ingredients. Located in the Old Town and with 4.5* reviews on Google it’s definitely worth a visit.
