Known as the ‘friendliest Club on the Coast’, Flamborough Head Golf Club is an 18 hole cliff top links course that has been carefully moulded around the contours of the famous headland which gives the Club its name. Course & Clubhouse are surrounded by panoramic views of the North Sea including both lighthouses, the original of which, known as the Old Beacon, was built circa 1674, and is the only known example in England and can be found on the course next to the 5th tee
The par 72 course has a distinctive links feel and there’s also a driving range and a 9 hole course for those feeling less energetic. Relax after your game in the clubhouse / restaurant available on site Both members and day visitors are welcome. Enjoy fantastic views towards Bridlington Bay while you enjoy your game
Another scenic golf course nearby, located just south of Bridlington with view across to South Beach. Opened in 1905, the club holds regular events: it’s Easter Shotgun challenge is coming up on Good Friday so worth investigating for the competitive player! Belvedere Hotel, restaurant, bar and golf shop on site.
Just over the road, Sewerby Hall itself offers golfing fun. There’s a nine hole pitch and putt surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the parkland and estate suitable for both serious and recreational golfers. On top of that, Sewerby Hall also boasts an 18 hole putting green for a friendly challenge suitable for both children
Here we are having a go at pitch and putt over at Sewerby Hall a few years ago!
Bridlington Bay also offers some less serious but equally competitive golfing experiences. As you walk along the promenade, you’ll pass North Marine Crazy Golf where you’ll be able to have some fun navigating the obstacles, then there’s also Treasure Island Golf which offers undercover golfing fun on a rainy day
