A short drive north from Sewerby, Bempton is home to one of the UK’s top wildlife spectacles. Around half a million seabirds gather here between March and October to raise a family on towering chalk cliffs which overlook the North Sea. Also the home to seals and porpoises. Visit the two historic lighthouses on the cliffs of Flamborough Head. The oldest, built in 1674 is the earliest known lighthouse still in existence in the UK. Take a trip up the newer lighthouse built in 1806. Also the home to much wildlife including nesting birds in the summer months. Enjoy the 5m scenic walk from Sewerby or a 4km circular once there. Plenty of pubs and cafes in Flamborough itself for refreshments.

A Dad's Army Trail is worth a look for fans. Otherwise Old Town Trail takes you to some heritage landmarks around the town.
